Nina Solodovnikova is a young Russian soprano, one of the new talents in opera today.
She was born in 1993 in Moscow, where she graduated with honours in Vocal Performance at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music Institute. Then she continued her studies in Italy at the Conservatory “G. B. Martini”.
In 2017, Nina Solodovnikova participated in Ópera de Tenerife's Opera (e)Studio where she made her debut as Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi by Bellini, a production that was remounted at the “Teatro Comunale di Bologna” in May 2018.
In 2015, she performed the role of Aspasia in Mitridate, re di Ponto produced by IOSP at the “Rossini Theater of Pesaro”.
In 2016, she performed the role of Dido in Dido and Aeneas with the Collegium Musicum of Bologna. It was also in Bologna that she sang as a soloist in the extraordinary concert dedicated to Arturo Toscanini, directed by Michele Mariotti at Auditorium Manzoni (2017).
In December 2017 she sang Marguerite in the opening concert of Faust produced by the “Teatro Comunale di Piacenza”.
In March 2018, she made her debut as Tebaldo in Don Carlo by Verdi directed by Jader Bignamini atthe “Opera de Tenerife”.
In June 2018, she performed the role of Tebaldo in another production of Verdi’s Don Carlo directed by Michele Mariotti at the “Teatro Comunale di Bologna”.
In March 2019, she made her debut as Adina in L'elisir d'amore at The Daegu Opera House in South Korea directed by Jonatan Brandani.
In November 2019, she perform Annetta Masepa in "Pietro il Grande" of G. Donizetti directed by Rinaldo Alessandrini at the Donizetti Opera Festival 2019 in Bergamo.
In September 2020, she perform Valencienne in Die Lustige Witwe (La Vedova allegra) directed by Daniel Oren, produced by the Teatro Municipale Verdi di Salerno.
In December 2020 she will debut Musetta in "La Bohème" of G. Puccini directed by Francesco Ivan Ciampa at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.
She studied at the International Opera Studio in Pesaro (IOSP) with Inga Balabanova, followed by the Scuola dell’Opera at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna (2016-2018). She deepened her practice of Donizetti repetiore at the Fondation Teatro Donizetti and at The Teatro alla Scala Academy with Luciana Serra. She continued her studies with William Matteuzzi at the Chigiana Music Academy and deepened her practice of Baroque repertoire with Romina Basso at the Bologna Philharmonic Academy. She participated in masterclasses with Giulio Zappa, Luciana D'Intino and Mariella Devia.
